The Journey From 100 Year Old Barnwood Board To Rustic Frame

It's a laborious process to take a dirty, grimy, and warped board that's been hanging on the side of a structure in a field for 100 years and turn it into a precise matched frame to hang on the wall.

Just think, that's 100 season changes. From wet, cold, and muddy to hot, dusty, and grimy over and over. Most people wouldn't want the boards as they are hanging on their clean walls looking like they do. So, therefore, we use an extensive cleaning process before the board ever reaches a saw. Every board is soak in a cleaning agent and pressure washed to blow dirt and grime away revealing to weathered grains. Then the board is completely dried. This is the first step in the journey to hanging on a wall. Watch the video below.
